Your example is totally ridiculous. We're talking shipping costs not tariffs, sales tax (which we pay for shipping to most states in US) or VAT. It doesn't cost more to TRANSPORT to Vancouver than to LA.
Tariffs and taxes aren't tacked on by HPL, they're added AFTER it arrives in Canada. Geeze.

Pirate ship is a god send to small shippers in the US. The guy who sent me the box of Idemitsu TLS, showed me the non-discounted rate... It was $120 USD if he used UPS directly as a regular joe.

Oh and something interesting, the new Idemitsu TLS is synthetic, the older stuff is Group III at best, it lists hydrocarbon oils on the back. It was Autozone clearout stuff, my fresh and shiny bottles don't have any toxic warnings on the bottles. I'm using it to flush my TF-80SC, so it's fine, just an interesting change over time.

I will be ordering some HPL Engine Cleaner next month for a stress test in a 2011 GM 2.4L Direct Injected Oil Chugger. Hopefully it plus a Berryman soak can finally loosen the oil rings. It's resisted the other cleaners so far including Valvoline Restore and Protect and a double dose of Rislone.

Where did you get to on the 2.4L ? Any luck ?
