Hi everyone,
Did anyone notice the term HPL uses for all their oils—multi-synthetic high performance motor oil? What does multi-synthetic mean? Is it a new term or it's been like that for a long time? Does that mean that the HPL oils are not 100% synthetic?

I haven't seen that term anywhere else. The terms I'm familiar with are full synthetic (hydro crack in Europe), 100% synthetic, semi-synthetic, synthetic blend. Obviously the HPL oils are not the last two.
Thank you.

Perhaps that they contain multiple synthetic base stocks?
Multi-synthetic to me means there are many synthetic components involved in the formulations.
That's what I thought too. Then why not use just 100% synthetic, full synthetic or like most of the motor oil companies use—Advanced Full Synthetic as all the base oils are synthetic anyway? Most of the мотор oils have a couple or a few synthetic base oils but don't use that term.
