If you catch the HPL july 4th or black friday sale and order a decent amount(so shipping cost is diluted) its not THAT much more than walmart gear oil.Personally, unless I plan on leaving that fluid for a VERY long time, I’d skip on it. But some peoples pockets are much deeper than mine. I would get some syn gear oil from Walmart and call it a day. I’d change that at factory recd intervals though.
Im sure hpl has great ingredients but for a regular bro like you and I who doesn’t tow or have demanding applications, I’m sure regular old Walmart provides us with everything we need. (Including old spice deodorant)
last time I checked the supertech 75w90 that used to be $5 is now well over $10.
Now the HPL motor oil for me is a waste I'm changing it every 3-5k miles due to a combination of climate, short tripping, and heavy fuel dilution.
so I stacked up some Mobil 1 ESP 0w30.
