how well does the UPF AC-Delco filters flow?

The Ultraguard filters flow considerably better, due to their fibreglass media. Although now that production of this filter has shifted from Champion, it's construction could've changed, so the newest ones are a mystery.

Patman... Who makes the AC Delcos sold at the local WalMarts here in Mississauga? They are relatively cheap (less than $4). I'm also wondering if they are any good (for that price). Anything else for less than $5 that is "good" (ie- better than Fram).

Thanks a bunch,
Paul

Paul, the AC Delcos sold at Walmart, and at GM dealers in Canada, are all made by Dana in Cambridge. In emails with a Dana rep, I found out these filters just use a conventional media, and aren't as good as Dana's top line filters, which are sold as Carquest Premium and NAPA Gold up here. I buy my Carquest Premiums from a Carquest in Brampton, located on Hale Road, which is near Steeles/Rutherford in Brampton (close to the 410)

As to me being up at 5am, hehe, I go to bed at 10pm, and just naturally wake up at 5am without an alarm clock. It gives me time on the internet, and exercise time, before my 17 month old son wakes up (lately he wakes up around 6am)

Thanks Patman. I gess for less than $4, you can't ask for more. Better than Fram, I presume?
Any other filters in that price range that are worth considering?

Not really. For under $5 go with AC Delco. For under $10 go with the Carquest/NAPA Gold.
