Firefox is slow on my pc......Opera is about twice as fast as FF and Google Chrome faster yet.

FF sure has slowed with age.....just like me.

I've tried FF4 Beta 7 myself, it is much faster. It's *almost* Chrome-fast.

my FF seems to be pretty fast right now, after some other tweaks, But i will check it out...anyway, looks like it's only for Mac and windows...I am running 100% Ubuntu now.

I broke down and did a clean reinstall of Firefox and holly mackerel, it's lightning quick now. It's been a PITA to get it set up like it was. When you install and uninstall add ons and other things over the course of several years, your profile folder will get filled with garbage I think. I've had a problem with Firefox pausing a lot, especially video playback, and it's mostly gone now.

If you ever do this, just an FYI. Firefox stopped using the bookmarks.html file for storing them. To save your bookmarks, go into the bookmarks menu and click on the import/backup button. I lost all my bookmarks at first but got about 90% of them back from my disk imaging software.

They up to Beta 12 now! This is the longest release cycle ever.

I think so, but it just seems like it isn't quite ready yet. I am starting to like Chrome betas much better than the Firefox beta so far. Firefox is falling behind.
