How to remove this rusty diff fluid fill plug?

Put it back in, looks pristine.
Oh well, the next guy with the same problem can use the ideas.OP stated he got the fill plug off on post #10. Continued to get tips and advice for two pages.
If it ain’t leaking, don’t mess with it. Possibly creating a problem where there isn’t one.
How so? How would I fill it then?
PB is my goto, very carefully, soak overnight, dry off a little heat, then lots of ice, repeat and carefully open then close back and forth, more pb as you go .
Safety glasses please using wire wheel, on a day I would love to forget, one wire came off hit my son in the eye and many operations later had a lens implant, and in our case the wire was greasy, i will never forget that aweful day His twin brother almost lost an eye when we lived in South Africa, at the age of maybe 4 he walked behind a swing with hard wood seat and it hit him right by his left eye, they are 49 now with kids of their own but you never forget them getting hurt.
Why do people insist some home brew fluid is best? PB, Kroil, WD40, all have chemical engineers working in million dollar laboratories testing and designing their products. You think something you mix up in the garage is going to be better?
But they saw it on the Internet so it has to be true ...right ?

WD40 isn't a penetrating fluid. "WD" stands for water displacement.
I would have brushed the rust off around the plug, hit it with brake cleaner a couple times and used my 50/50 acetone and trans oil mix. Apply wait a few, brake cleaner agar followed by mix a few times. Let the mix soak overnight, brake cleaner and try to remove. Still tight, heat.

I remember the diff on our previa looked like that, though not as rusty.
I’d get penetrating oil on it often. Heat and impact.
