I have a PDF document that requires a password in order to open it. I know the password, but I want to save it as a PDF document that no longer requires a password. What do I need for that?

I have Adobe Reader and cutePDF (printer). I tried printing the document using cutePDF in order to create a new PDF, however, that didn't work - the contents of the saved PDF are just blank, or rather it just says:

Quote:

ERROR: undefined
OFFENDING COMMAND: get
STACK:
/quit
-dictionary-
-mark

Thanks. Sumatra lets me save it, but the saved file is still password-protected, just like the original. I don't see an option in Sumatra to remove the password before saving.

CutePDF might use some of the adobe DLLs which is why the password sticks around.

I have an independent (?) program called PDFCreator (boring name) that might work.

If you want to PM me I could do it for you and we could exchange emails. I have Acrobat here at work and at home. As long as its something that you don't mind me seeing?
