How to recognize original shell?

The cap on the original must be "sparkly" on the outside

i dont know how well it appears on the image, but the cap on mine seems to be "sparkly"

According to the writing on a jug....it was produced in FEB20 (February of 2020?)

And front label does not have "pure plus" sticker but old pre GTL one....?

That's terrible I've been blessed never have I purchased oil that been swapped out with vegetable oil.

Thank god you live in the USA. This is literally a real fear for me here in Malaysia.

Hi,
I wonder how to recognize the original shell helix ultra. I bought this oil from local autoparts dealer.
When I scan the QR code from the bottle it drives me to shell original page. What can we see from the pics?

It says it is for diesels but it’s not a C3 oil. It lists gasoline standards. A3

Specifications: API CF; ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4; BMW LL-01; MB approval 229.5, 226.5; VW 505.00; Renault RN0710. Meets the requirements of Fiat 955535.Z2

ACEA B3/B4... Its a diesel spec...

MB 229.5....its has ACEA A3/B4 as a base....same goes for BMW LL-01.... VW....
