After searching several forums I have finally thrown in the towel. I could only find a thread on how to mail a sample.

Anyway, I just took a sample and mailed it to Dyson Analysis. In taking the sample during an oil change I captured 8oz about midway through the drain cycle. Is this the best way or should the sample be taken earlier or later during the oil drain?

Thanks for the replies. I should have mentioned the engine was warm and the oil was at normal operating temp of 240 degrees (335i).

Thanks again

I always clean the exit port on the Fumoto valve with a blast of Brakleen, to remove dirt, then take a sample after letting a pint out (if I am not changing oil at that time).
