SxS in question is a '21 Polaris Ranger 1000.

If it matters it's a bit of an oddball because it is NOT the XP, meaning it is SOHC rather than the far more common DOHC.

The starter clicks but does nothing. It occurred to me I'd like to know if the engine is locked up, but these engines are so "encased".....is it possible? There's no exposed crank and no engine driven accys.

I was able to push it with transmission in HIGH but I don't think that proves anything?

Is there an easy solution I'm overlooking?

First order of business should be to try jumping it with a good battery or jump box.
What makes you think the engine might be seized?
Even if it's been sitting for the past three years that would be exceptional.

remove the clutch cover and try to turn the primary clutch, they're driven directly off the crank. If it's stuck the motor is stuck.

If you don't have the battery on a maintainer 24/7 I'd say the battery is toast, especially if it's the original one. Try a jump pack, but if all else fails remove the battery and have it load tested.
Keep us posted...
