Against my wishes, when we bought a new car, she was talked into a "Paint protection plan" and since what's done is done, we have a need to use it. She's noticed very tiny 'chips' and we're going to have the dealer get them repaired. A previous time it was in, it was middle of winter, so the car was pretty dirty and they (wife and service advisor) decided to look at them later. It's going in this week and we're dropping it off the night before, so we won't be there to point them out. I wouldn't expect the dealer's person to find all of them so I'd like to go over it before ourselves and mark the ones we find somehow. Worst case, their person just goes panel by panel and finds them as best they can. If they miss any, while we don't necessarily want to keep dealing with it, it will just go back.
What can we use ? Is there a 'marker' that's safe to use ? I thought about using tape, but we'll be doing this at home and driving to the dealer, there's a good chance some pieces will come off.
