I have always done 1k or less after a progressive break in - never owned an oil burner …On all of my new engines I’ve changed the oil around the 500 mile mark. Does it make a difference vs 1000-3000 miles? Probably not, but it makes me feel good so I do it.![]()
In what grade? My Super car oils both have boron.Special note.
HPL elects to not use boron.
Well this is getting real interesting. All my UOAs show minimal boron. In what grade? My Super car oils both have boron.
Oil filters do not make a huge difference, despite what the marketing papers tell yoi.Changing to a more efficient filter from the get-go would probably be a better bet..
There are sae reports that says the same for an early changes for differentials.I read an industry white paper several years back where a big city bus fleet in CA did a long-term longitudinal study with different oil change regimens. They firmly showed engine longevity really benefitting from at least one very early oil change.
I unfortunately did not bookmark it. If anyone recalls this study I’d sure like to track it down again to reference.
I’ve got to say, the way he talks is somewhat distracting for me. It’s too much voice inflection, too much facial expression. And I’ve seen him talk with other folks on his videos, he dominates so strongly that I find THAT distracting too.Why he looking like that
Besides using 400 unnecessary words to every 4 needed (most, if not all videos are like this), what's the problem with him?what the heck is that like if you’re sitting around a table with this guy?
How would you know that and how would it affect the boron content?Well this is getting real interesting. All my UOAs show minimal boron.
