That always excites the kittyWife tells me to pet it
Maybe falconer's gloves. You folks are obvious not familiar with scared fighting cats. He will sit on my lap every night and on my lap in the evening. When I have a towel or blanket in hand, I can't get near him. I sold the pet carrier and now have an open top cardboard box. If I can get him very sleepy with Meds, I will drop him into the box and quickly fold the top over. Someone suggested Benidrill but, I only heard it from one so not sure about this. Ed
There's always surgery..,..
For many years I ran a Pet Transportation service, helping people ship their cats and dogs across the country or around town. I worked closely with a number of veterinarians. There were many times that we used Acepromazine to calm the kitties. You folks are obvious not familiar with scared fighting cats. He will sit on my lap every night and on my lap in the evening. You'd need more than a towel if you tried to take ME in to get fixed lol.Had cats all my life. Have 4 right now but I guess they trust me. Only had to do the towel thing once on my ferrel cat when I took him in to be fixed.
We do this. Wife holds cat on her chest rubbing it’s head and obscuring it’s vision.…I come behind her with open carrier. Then she pivots around and shoves the cat in quick before it catches on.Have the cage ready with the door open. Hold your car such that it can’t see the cage. In one full swoop turn put the cat through the door and close.
Failing that, buy a bigger pair of work boots.![]()

Our feral also doesn't use nails actively, but if he's panicking he doesn't really know he's doing it. Haven't seen him in over a week though, don't think I ever will again.
How much Benadryl do you give a 10 pound cat and how much before you wan to take him to the vet?
