How often do you change your air filter?

The K&N in my dad's Quest has been in there for about 45-50K miles might have to clean it sometime. The K&N for my mom's Camry has been in it off and on for about 40K miles and I oiled it once. I put the stock back in sometimes to see if it gets better mileage.

I normaly change mine every 12 months but this last time I went 18 months. I live in the rust belt and the salt they toss down by the ton in the winter time really does a number on the airfilter. Seeing how I can get them for $6-$12 it really is not much of an expense to change it every 12 months.

No dirt roads so I change mine every 20K.

I change mine annually. It has nothing to do with mpg, but it does help performance of the vehicle. Modern vehicles use air sensing devices to measure the air coming in, if there is a restriction like a dirty air filter it doesn't affect economy but it does affect horsepower in the upper end. After 18,000 on mine I noticed a difference in changing the filter with power.
