How much do you pay for a haircut?

Not enough hair to cut.....

My wife trims the wild hairs once a month or so

Decent hair clippers are $30-40 so they pay for themselves fast

This time of year a hat of some sort is always in use

I bought one of those Wahl hair trimmer kits about 30 years ago and I never looked back. I do a no. 2 guard on the sides, no. 3 on the transition area and then I free hand it on top... all with my eyes closed.

I haven't paid for a haircut since my wedding in 1993.

Remember, the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is only about 2 weeks.

Son cuts my hair. Learned to be an amateur barber on long deployments at sea.

Yeah ... I've fallen back on that old adage more than once ...

FWIW, I've had my Wahl since around 1972 and it's still going strong. I still have all the pieces to the kit, too.

Haircuts here are about $20-30 with tip. Plus the drive time and wait. I look at it with the same self-reliance philosophy as an oil change. Takes me actually less time to do my own OCI and own haircut, as the time it takes to go and pay someone else.

A small change in life, doing my own haircuts and oil changes, saves me probably a mortgage payment every few years. That's not a small amount of money for what is a trivial inconvenience.

Long ago I dated a hair stylist, and she's actually nationally renown now. Anyway, the money women waste on hair styling is staggering. It's nothing for a woman to go blow $500 on a hair day.

Been running a Wahl through my hair for a couple decades now. I relented around when I got married, wife wanted a regular men's haircut, now my wedding photos really don't look at all like me.

My wife buzzes my eyebrows with Wahl clippers.

Since I meet with clients I need a quality hair cut and she’s not qualified.

I think it was $25 at my old place and that included a shampoo. Since it's gotten balder, I switched to clipping it myself. I was shaving my head a for a couple years but got tired of doing it when I bought some better clippers. Was at the barber a month ago hoping to get a full shave head and beard but I'd never been to this barbershop before and they're not set up for wet shaving. So, just a baldy with clipper and a lame beard clean up was $25 with a senior discount.

The only reason that I went to the barber is because my FiL needed a haircut. He didn't want to go because my MiL couldn't get her haircut due to medical reasons. Well, she could have but didn't want to. She can be a little stubborn. I knew he wanted to go but didn't want to ask me to take him so I told the family that I wanted to go to the barbershop and asked if he wanted to join me. He can move pretty fast when he wants to. LOL.
