My recent filters cost about $55 ea. after tax. They are Amsoil EAaU-3590 for a Subaru cold air intake. Unfortunately they are killing that size, but as a silver lining they gave me two for one, and I cleared out the warehouse of all they had left. lol
I purchased my Wix air filters from fmsfilters on the web for about 60 percent of a local purchase, if you spend $75.00 dollars or more free shipping (if you include oil filters this is easy to do)
$11.50 for a Mann for a Mercede e320. Very fine and many pleats, large, and one of nicest paper air filters I've seen. $16 for a Denso on a Toyota, non paper depth type filter, same maker as OE.
Right before Easter I bought some Fram's from Meijer for Mom's car and my Ranger. They were something like $6.89 and on sale for 30% off, so the final price was something along the lines of $4.60. Then as I was checking out, the printer at the scanning station spit out a $3/filter rebate, so my final cost for this pair will be a little over $1.50 each.
Frams are on sale again at Meijer, and "Amy" (their automated call system for cardholders) left me a message the other day that general merchandise is eligible for an additional 15% off today and tomorrow. My Dakota can use some filters so guess where I'm stopping tonight?
If the rebate prints out again (which I think it should since it runs through August) I should be able to get the basic filter for about $1.10, or if I want to I can splurge and get some ToughGuards for a little more.
And let's not forget the Regane promotion they have going on right now....
$25 for true flow foam filter from amazon. I'm gonna give it a shot as a replacement to the oiled cotton one that came w/ my intake. Once I get my first UOA I should have a good idea if it's doing a decent job.
