How long to run engine [or not] before draining??

I wasn't suggesting such but if that's the way you want to interpret, you'll just have to get over it, my position hasn't changed...

No surprise here because I've never found any in my engines I've had apart... If it's big enough to see, the filter will catch it, IF it's doing it's job...

Something that been neglected, well that may be a different story...

Sometimes a little sludge, bit of a gasket, etc will find it's way into one of the corners and just set there, hot or cold it usually doesn't usually drain out with the oil...

You've never looked at the bottom of a jug used to hold used oil? Always a layer of [censored] that settles out. I'd rather it be left in the bottom of the jug vs the oil pan.

Me, too. That full, flushing drain is VERY important to oil pan cleanliness.

This is the primary reason we removed all the Fumotos from our fleet vans. They restrict that fast flow...
