How long to break in new strut/coil combo. before alignment?

If the ride height is where it's going to be after the springs have settled, you can align it now.

That's what you don't know though. But on a Ram, does 1/4" ride height make any significant difference?
I think people can expect one alignment and one followup check when replacing springs. The possibility of a second alignment within 6 months is there.

You don't want to wait because 1) it can unevenly wear your tires and 2) it can make handling poor then that one time you need to make an emergency maneuver, it handles like a fish out of water.

Me personally, I would at least put the truck on the ground and drive around the parking lot, over a few bumps, and give the steeringwheel a good zig zag. That should be plenty to get things settled if they are going to.

I put new struts on a van 2 years ago. It developed a vibration a month ago and was found out of alignment. It drives wonderfully now.

I don’t think waiting for the struts to settle would have mattered. You’ll most likely need to do another alignment down the road, as others have suggested.
