WOw, I noticed when using Mobil 1 5w-20 Full Synthetic I was putting in 1 quart of oil for every 2000 miles, I heard with Pennzoil PLATINUIM 5w-20 Full Synthetic that I won't be using as much. I have a Dodge Caravan 2006 and heard this kind of oil usage to common for the 3.8L. I was told with Pennzoil PLATINUIM oil usage will get better

I doubt it, but I guess you can give it a try. If that doesn't work, maybe trying using 5w30 instead?

Ok,,we in here have no clue as to what oil u have used, what mechanical background ur engine has, etc. But in MHO, u should use 10w30 at least or 10w40 oil. U will not blow up anything, and its a good way to find out if the 5w20 is just to thin in ur part of the world or for that 3.8. I have had one car with a 3.8 and I used 10w30 or 40 and no oil usage with either one. Currently I run 5w40 in my van Rotella t6, but that's me and it works great. But try the 10w30 or 40 . If u have already done this in the past and u were using oil, then drive the van down to the nickel shredder , drop it in and push the (new van button) and there u go,,out pops a new ride. PS, just kidding on the shredder thing.lol

As someone who has used both products back-to-back in that grade, I didn't see any difference between the two in terms of consumption. It was in a 2005 Honda CR-V if that matters.
I've been using PP 5w20 exclusively for nearly 3 years now.

I tried 5w-40 but the valve noise was too great during start up in the winter
