How long do front brake rotors normally last?

If they pass, they should not be resurfaced. When resurfacing is necessary, it should be done with a car mounted lathe.

I'll refer to a post you made a few weeks ago from Akebono: don't use an aggressive bed-in procedure for the ProACT pads. They also don't mention rotor resurfacing.

I just remembered. Akebono said that it may cause harm to their pads. I could see why, as there is so much potential for error during these bed-in procedure. However, I still believe that if done very carefully, it is possible for a bed-in procedure to be beneficial. But to tell the general public to perform it probably isn't a good idea.

What koolaid have you been drinking, Critic?? Any crack going around your college/university? This is out of some where above mori teutonic anal. I mean way out there.

What do you do, find the most extremely useless and expensive way to do something? For a tightwad of distinction ..you OF ALL PEOPLE should be slapping the jo's that pull this stuff out of their behinds up side the head. Instead ..you're a poster boy for the preacher and the choir.

You can only hope to work in a shop that has enough customers with enough $$$ stuffed in their wallets to allow you to actually do that much work for something that is so fundamentally simple. Then again, the jest coast is the place for such stuff. If you can pull it off at any price ..there's enough money there to support the habit.

Do you put clean room filters on the intake plenum too ..just so that if the pollen count climbs too high your engine doesn't have an allergic reaction??
