How do I fix this window?

One of the windows in my house has become very loose. This is a double hung window, and the lower sash wants to fall inward. It seems the rails on the side (not sure what they are called) are too far out, leaving slop. Are these adjustable? There are these wedges at the top, not sure if there is some sort or adjustment underneath. If I push on the side rail, it has some give. This window houses an AC unit that is well-supported with a bracket. But I wonder if the vibrations over the years have caused this. Thoughts?

Google "adjust window side jamb liner" to see if you can find something similar to your brand. There might be width adjustment screws somewhere under your white side jamb liner to push that white part out to engage the window.
