I have heard the Toyota filters are really good, and I can get them cheap. Does anyone know how to cross reference the denso 150-1006, or Mitsubishi mz690116. I want to see what Toyota filter would fit my 88 dodge raider 2.6l 4 cylinder.

Thanks for any help!

Not as good as you think.

denso 150-1006 crosses to a wix #51334. Wix does not list a toyota in the application list.

mz690116 crosses to a wix #57092. Wix also does not list a toyota in the app list.

I was hoping to find a toyota model in the app list and then you could do and search and find out what the toyota filter part # was for that for that model.

personally, I'm not impressed with asian oem filters, but thats me.

river_rat's home bench tests, and then the Amsoil efficiency rating on the Toyota filters pretty much shows they don't filter very well.

In general, I'd suggest against cross-referencing filters unless one has to. Sometimes the cross-referencing results are more approximations and "close enough" than truly picking the optimum part number of a given brand for your car. Often you'll cross-reference a Brand X to Brand Y filter and yet find that the Brand Y number you come up with is different than what Brand Y actually recommends in their own catalog. That may be because Brand Y knows that their recommended number is a superior fit or function, or perhaps they're aware of problems/deficiencies with the cross-referenced number. In general, the automakers don't have special filters, but simply relabel other popular brands of filters as their own via sourcing contracts. I think I can safely say there are no "Toyota" filters -- only other brands of filters that have "Toyota" stamped on them per the sourcing contracts. Therefore you may be chasing a ghost.

That about covers it. No need to chase these filters imo.

I may just stick with the Mitsu filter then. A lot of guys say they are good as well, and from what I have been reading, made by denso. I can get them for 4.67 a filter, plus discount, so it may not be a bad idea
