It's a blood stain. I tried Scotchgard Fabric and carpet cleaner which worked somewhat but it's still stained. What's the next step?
Yep. Works fast. Peroxide, then blot. Repeat until removed.I know nothing about cleaning but saw somewhere hydrogen peroxide is good with blood removal.
Tuff Stuff is my favorite as well and it won't leave rings.Try a product called Tuff-Stuff. Comes in a spray can. Worked magic on years old grease stains.
After that, try the begin Clorox laundry product and Q-Tips.
I've had really great results with hydrogen peroxide and hot water 1:1 on organic stains.
You're actually right. It's because it's...peroxide. Just diluted. Hot water in this context is making the oxidizer more efficient. If that's the case, then it's the peroxide that did the work.
Hot water will "set" blood stains, only cold water should be used, and is pretty effective when no other aids are at hand.
Pressure washer, spray paint with duplicolor. You probably need 3-4 cans. See my truck restoration thread. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/its-time-for-a-new-to-me-truck.382852/post-6908109I wanted so bad to post the link to the car cleaning scene in Pulp Fiction, but after previewing it, it would probably violate 1000 forum rules and I would be kicked off for good...I am sure most know the one I am referencing.
Pulled the carpet from my Suburban, used a carpet and upholstery cleaner and carpet shampoo solution plus a solution of baking soda...red stuff came out for days from under rear driver side passenger seat. My wife was convinced someone died in this car before I bought it. We tried some hydrogen peroxide after the initial cleaning, but it did not touch the remaining stain.
Couldn't imagine what the neighbors were thinking.
