So these CCP cars don't burn your house down and spy on you?
I hate it when that happens....So these CCP cars don't burn your house down and spy on you?
I mean yes that’s what all the American EVs doI hate it when that happens....
I have never owned anything but GM, Ford or Chrysler products, nothing else ever. So one could say I prefer buy America, more than most people. Having said that the fact still remains the Chinese can make top quality products if they choose to. And if they ever offer EV's in the US, Elon and Tesla are going to have their hands full, more-so than those offering ICE and EV's.Yeah, I would say that would be the case considering how popular other foreign brands are in the US. It's not like I haven't owned non US made cars, but the majority of my cars have been domestic. Most probably don't think like me, but I'd just rather have a car that benefits US workers. I won't buy a lesser car just to get a US product, but all things the same I'd prefer to buy American. At this point there's a number of foreign manufacturers who do build cars in the US. If they start building some of them here then maybe I'd change my tune.
Wait till the big boys get in!I have never owned anything but GM, Ford or Chrysler products, nothing else ever. So one could say I prefer buy America, more than most people. I guess that's why they still burn a lot of coal.
They are building a lot of nuclear, which is good, but there's a cultural issue here with respect to QC, and it doesn't just apply to stuff we've outsourced there, but their own infrastructure and products.I guess that's why they still burn a lot of coal.
No doubt. We're a rarity caring where our products come from.I have never owned anything but GM, Ford or Chrysler products, nothing else ever. Point taken, and what you wrote and @Torrid 's comment above backs up what I'm saying. If China ever starts selling cars in the US Tesla is going to take a hit, and a big one IMO. That's not hate mongering but something that might one day become a reality for them. FTR we were talking about cars, not Nuke power plants, something where quality matters a lot more. They are building a lot of nuclear, which is good, but there's a cultural issue here with respect to QC, and it doesn't just apply to stuff we've outsourced there, but their own infrastructure and products.
Yeah, my point is simply that the QC issues are endemic, as illustrated with my example, so people concerned about this being a problem with EV's are quite right to hold that concern.Point taken, and what you wrote and @Torrid 's comment above backs up what I'm saying. I have an idea. Compare the quality of their high speed trains with those built in the USA.They are building a lot of nuclear, which is good, but there's a cultural issue here with respect to QC, and it doesn't just apply to stuff we've outsourced there, but their own infrastructure and products.
Agreed, I do believe however that a lot of people will be willing to roll the dice if the price of the vehicle is right.Yeah, my point is simply that the QC issues are endemic, as illustrated with my example, so people concerned about this being a problem with EV's are quite right to hold that concern.
