Hey quick question. I bought 4 like new and true oem Mazda 17” rims for my 09 Elantra as my current oem Hyundai ones are pretty bent and vibrate. The Mazda rims have the same 5 x 114.3 and bore and other specs but the front brake calipers on the front are ever so slightly touching the inside face of the rim so I could not get them mounted because of that. But the shop suggested I buy 1/4” wheel spacers for the front to place the rims ever so slightly outward, but I’m kinda concerned that the wheel spacers might damage something? Am I over thinking this? It seems like a basic idea but would that affect handling, or put more wear on components ect? Has anyone ever used them and had success? I feel like the vibration is also causing wear but I can not justify the $130 per rim to fix the Hyundai rims, so I bought these Mazda rims as replacements. Thoughts? I’d really would like to use them lol, Thank you.
Edit I will be swapping over new 215/45 tires to these Mazda rims
