I don't want this to be political but I've noticed that people around the world, even fellow Americans are always complaining about our technology and the place we live in "compared" to other countries.
Technology:
When it comes to technology, majority of people would only concentrate on cars and electronics. However, if you look at the big picture, we have one of the best space, medical, aircraft, ship building, technology, etc etc etc etc etc etc industry in the world. There are so many Research and Development that are happening in this country. Majority of the technology out there were actually invented/discovered by an American(s) or joint discovered.
Life:
Face it, we have one of the best living standards in the world. Majority of us get clean water, nice homes, etc etc. Food is obviously an abundance. This is the country where you can easily form your life. For example, in South Korea, where they are obsessed with education, if you want to live at the normal standards or higher, you must have a very good education level. If you just have a high school diploma or Associates, you're basically screwed. In America, it's easy to have a good life. All you need is a basic education and elbow grease and you can easily be successful and have a family.
What triggered me into typing this is because I was hearing two American women complaining about the USA how they should do this like Germany or do that like another country. Me, having traveled around the world and meeting so many people, I thank my creator everyday that I live in America.
The people who are complaining about the USA back in the days are no different than the ones complaining about America now. USA gives us the freedom to scrutinize our own country. The USA ain't perfect but we sure are awesome.
