I have some 20-year-old BMW parchment colored hard plastic interior parts "darkening" from sunlight. Is there any way to restore the proper color? They are NOT fading.

Good idea may be my approach. However rather not coat due to possibility of chipping. Parts are seat surrounds and similar.

Those SEM trim paints are terrific. I tried the one called Trim Black on a faded plastic windshield cowl and it looks like new plastic, not paint. After two years it has chipped a little here and there, but still looks much better than before I painted it. I would think on interior trim it would be more durable. You may want to give it a try.

Two different problems might have the same solution. Coat with SEM finish.
