Anyone else watch this show? it's starting to turn into every other T.V show now but it was pretty interesting until this season.

That's disappointing, as we're still in the "old" episodes.

About the only show I watch routinely.

My better half reckons I remind her of him.

I love this show! I find this season is just as good, if not better than last season! I laugh my butt off through the entire episode, Hugh Laurie plays that character so well!

It's my favorite show after "24"
Great writing - Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor.
Plus, he rides a Repsol Honda!

Sela Ward is just hot period and I bet she could send you to the hospital for dehydration treatment too. One can dream.

I like the way he insults people. If he wasn't such a miserable SOB .and mean to do it ..he'd be a social moron.

"I annoy you because I care".

I liked the show where they made him actually treat common patients. He walks in a tells the guy his wife's having an afair. The guy had jaundice or had too much beta carotene (something) ..and he says "Pal, you're yellow (or orange) ..and your wife didn't notice." Tells him to lay off the carrot juice (or whatever) and walks out.

I've watched maybe 20 minutes of it and didn't like it. I prefer MadTV parody of that show instead

Come to think of it, I don't watch any of these shows except that I'm forced to watch 'Grey's Anatomy' because the wife likes it.

I only voluntarily watch the Sunday evening shows on Fox - the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and War at Home (only wasting 4 hours of my life a week).

Patient to House: "What's your problem?"
House to patient: "Gimp leg. What's yours?"
Patient lunges at House.

All television is in the boredom killing business. Some do it better then others. House will run out of steam just like all others. You'll get tired of the "mystery illness of the week". The ancillary antics and human conflict/drama eventually don't compensate for the redundancy of the fundamentals. It's the chase scene in Dukes of Hazard, the mandatory LA freeway crash on CH'PS, the macro/micro view on CSI (which I can't believe hasn't annoyed enough people yet). Sitcoms tend to last longer if they "work" ..but comedy only takes you so far. You get lucky with something like the L&O series. They use the larger cast format to allow many offshoots to occur, breaking up the routine. Most dramas end up having some "social commentary" laced into the storyline ..most sitcoms too. Some of the soapboxes are masked well enough ..but it depends on how motivated the messenger is to deliver the message instead of decent entertainment.

House is the best show on public TV.
He can say rude and sarcastic things that we are all thinking, but are afraid to speak out. There is always an element of truth to his caustic verbiage.

You see 'House' on PBS!?

The best relatively new show on network television is 'Lost.' In my opinion, of course. I wish Dr House was the island doctor of "the others."

House is pretty good. I'm also hooked on The Office, and a lot of other shows to my dismay... Prison Break, Kidnapped, Jericho... uhh.

The Office is good and is becoming better. At first I thought it would be regurgitated version of the British one but it's original, and I think better than the British version. But that applies to most of TV - our stuff is usually better than the British stuff. Except maybe the classics like Black Adder and Allo,Allo.

the character house is awesome, best on TV but the show is getting real repetetive, always an MRI, always broad spectrum antibiotics, the same old same old but the character is really really good, it seems like they put most of the focus on him and not the rest of the plot

I'm also a victim to liking too many shows! That's why it's good we've got a PVR, that way we can record tons of stuff and watch it commercial free whenever we want. This season there is so much stuff that the PVR is filling up faster than we can watch it though! We're going to need to take a day off work just to watch a few hours of programs!
