Came across this stuff recently....

Supposedly it was developed for International regarding their Powerstroke engine they were building for Ford. As opposed to claiming it is the slickest thing ever developed like some of the other stuff, this claims to be a cleanup product for diesel engines. Claims to be just a monster load of detergents and dispersants that are already in motor oil.

Anyone hear of this and seen any results from its use?

There is a delivery service here in town that uses this product and they like it. According to the website if you don't like it they will give you your money back. The guy that owns this company use to be a regional manager for Primrose Oil then started his own business. Buy a gallon and let us know how it works.

Well I don't have a Powerstroke, but I might give it a try and do a used oil analysis on my '06 Cummins ISX. Got 555,000 miles on the engine so it might help clean up the engine a bit, especially any coking that would be in the turbo. If I try it, will run a used oil analysis on the oil afterwards and see what happened.

It would appear that this stuff is sold in 1/2 gallon containers. That would price it at $100 per gallon... WHOAAA!

That got my attention as well. I guess if it does what it claims, then it would be worth it instead of having to replace HEUI injectors. But anymore it is hard to tell what is "snake oil" and what isn't. I only took a second glance at the product when I saw that it had been developed for and tested by International Truck and Engine to solve a problem that was occuring in the Powerstroke engine injectors. I guess they were getting higher than acceptable warranty claims on the injectors and wanted a solution. I guess this is what was developed. Will it really help most users? Your guess is as good as mine.

I have used HSS... I did some research on this product as well as Lubrication Specialties Inc. After a few weeks of reading, and talking to Chris, I chose to order 64oz. To use in my 7.3L PSD with 260K miles on her.

To make a long story short. I changed oil and poured this product in with Delvac 15w40. After the first 500 miles, I noticed better throttle response as well as faster startups. And Yes I could tell my idle was a bit quieter...Even my wife noticed... now that to me, tells me I wasn't imagining things. Since then, I have called and talked to Chris again, and told him about my experience. He was thrilled enough to hear from me he sent me a free 64oz bottle of HSS... I just changed my oil for my summer oil change and added 64oz..w/Rotella T Synthetic 5w40. I now have 280K miles on my 7.3L, and the motor just seems to keep running quieter and smoother... I know the previous owner had bad oil changing habits... So this product could be doing alot of cleaning. I don't know... I can only say, If my wife can hear and feel the difference? Something is happening. Chris is a top notch guy, and Lubrication Specialties Inc. is a Top Notch Company. If you have a new Diesel, I dought you will feel and hear the same differences that I did. Since your motor will be in far better working order then my 7.3L.. I just shared my personal Experience nothing more... But this is a great product from a Very Good Company... Thats all.

Just a note--This is the only oil additive that I would even consider pouring into these very expensive motors.
