Hello everyone 👋 Recently I ran the 2nd treatment of Diesel Extreme in our HPCR 03 cummins with a full tank of diesel for a cleaning right before our next oil change. It has been in our truck for over a month at this point and we finally filled it up again without the treatment. The truck does seem to idle better now and somewhat accelerate smoother, also no more random puffs of small smoke so thats good.
Does adding this to a full tank help clean the tank/fuel lines especially if sitting?

Well this is Highly debatable but I do have an 03 with the 5.9 of which I daily drive and use for work as well.
I used Diesel Extreme for 2 years, when I would dose the tank it would run by the seat of my pants feeling, had a bit more pep to it. However I never got better fuel mileage and it's never had any smoke or fuel related issues before or after running it. I'm thinking it was more of a placebo effect.
Nowadays I run Archoil AR6500 in the normal dose per tank and it runs perfect. IMHO, I believe that a Cetane improver and perhaps 1/2 ounce mix to 1 gallon of fuel of 2 stroke TCW3 oil would do the same thing.
That's my opinion anyhow. To so called clean up the injectors I throw around 800#s in the bed and drive it at around 1,000 egt's for an hour or 2, truck runs like a top doing that.

I use Power Service, and have for years since I lived in Wyoming for a short time. I see a noticeable change in smoothness when running the product.

I can't answer that but I can share that I've used this in my BMW 535d for the last year, every 6k miles per the instructions, and my car either loves it or it does absolutely nothing. One of those. Impossible to really know, IMO.

I also run the Hotshots EDT in every tank of diesel.

I believe how our diesels run have a ton to do with the fuel we purchase, for instance I've been using fuel from a Meijers station for the last year or so,the tag on the pump said ULSD for all diesel vehicles or something close to that.
About 6 months ago my fuel mileage I noticed was going down so at my next fill up I glanced at the sticker on the pump and sure enough it was changed to up to 20 percent bio fuel. I found another station that isn't bio and all is back to normal again.
My point is that different fuels from different stations leads to different results. I have absolutely no aversion to running bio fuels but I will not run it in the winter here in Illinois if I can help it. It sometimes gets down to-26F here and bio gels up to easy for me. That's part of the reason I run an additive, otherwise I wouldn't run anything other than anti gel in the winter. I think the Cetane improver is what helps.

I absolutely agree, I mostly use one station when I can. I was also filling up, intermittently, at another local station but noticed my truck would regen much more frequently; same driving conditions. I have since stopped using diesel from the station associated with the increased regen frequency. I also do not use any additives.

Pure biodiesel contains less energy on a volumetric basis than petroleum diesel. Therefore, the higher the percentage of biodiesel (above 20%), the lower the energy content per gallon.

That's like people saying my diesel car gets better mileage than your petrol car. Diesel (distilled dinosaur) has more energy per kilogram than either petrol or bio-diesel. Be aware of what you put in the tank.

My 535d definitely get worse mileage on Racetrac's up to 20% biodiesel than it does on the Circle K diesel that I use almost exclusively now. Not 100% sure if the Circle K diesel has any biodiesel in it.

I use Hot Shot's EDT on every tank, and now in winter I run their winter defense formula; good stuff for both my EcoD and the Bluetec.

I also have a stash of Archoil 6500 that I'll be going through. The Love's truckstop near my house always carries a biodiesel blend, and I think this is nationwide at all Love's so if there were real problems with their fuel in winter, a lot more people would be aware of it. While I don't go out of my way to avoid biodiesel, I tend to use it minimally especially if the % is high.

I'll usually fill up at my local KwikTrip station which carries normal (currently winterized) non-bio diesel.

Do you have a Kwik Trip near you location that carries Tundra Maxx diesel fuel? My area only has one station that carries it not many at all do but it is a night and day start up difference when the temperature starts to dip near the 0F mark and below.

No special diesel where I'm at, just says "winterized" on the hose. I'll be on the lookout for it, now that you mention it.

I did see "premium" diesel at a Cenex station once, and I think Valero stations sometimes have a couple of options but it's not regular/everywhere.
