Hey where can I get some radiator hose protectors? I had the dealer replace my upper and lower radiator hoses while they installed a new water pump on my Jeep and for some reason they decided not to use them.

Thanks for your time.

protect from what?

I used an old piece of heater hose, split the long way, to protect my new heater hose where it comes kinda close to the steering u-joint.

Maybe you can use universal 3" truck rad hose slipped over your existing ones-- split or not depending on if you want to open the system.

Did you used to have hose protectors that have since disappeared?

If they invented them, jeeps would be high on my list of applications.

They are probably a dealer-only item as they're application-specific. I take 'em off the old hose and use 'em on the new one.

Go back to the repair shop and complain about their sloppy work! If you leave them off you rad. hose could wear through in no time.

Is this something specific to this car?

Agri-supply sells lots of sizes of hoses, just get some and split lengthwise and use tie-wraps to secure, cheap, easy to add-on and will keep hose from abrasion damage. Agri-supply is a cool store...

I get corrigated PVC sump pump hose and cut a slit in it with a scissors. Works great and very cheap.
