Honestly, does it really matter?

I came onboard for what to do with cars that were neglected along the way, 100k miles alive before i bought them. My neon srt-4 was the very first brand new car I ever purchased, and i use only synthetic. Different brands too: Mobil 1, Pennzoil Platinum, Castrol...all of them pretty much at one time or another. Now I'm gonna use the 5w-40 Rotella since its so praised among the subaru guys, and Im going to have more disposable income for modifications this summer.

Bill

It's not just Audi. Get used to it. All Gasoline Direct Injection engines have this problem, and in the next 5 to 10 years, most manufacturers will have switched over to GDI for all their model lines.

Bill, I for one would appreciate it if you refrain from political commentary.

As for what will happen in engine design over the next 5 to 10 years, given that engine design cycles start about 5 years prior to production, we pretty much know that every major manufacturer in the world will introduce DI engines into their product lines within the next few years.

There you go again Bill.........the men in black will be around to see you in the very near future. Seriously, this site is the kindest and most gentle on the internet, RI, you can't be that sensitive.....well you do drive an Audi.

Hey now, what do you have against Cobain? Besides being a heroin addict and one of the most depressed people ever, what was wrong with him

Seriously though, I love Nirvana.

Back on topic, sorry!

I'm not that sensitive and would be happy to share my own political commentary from a position 180 degrees away. However, I've been shut down for speaking the truth on matters of engineering and scientific fact twice now, so I don't dare.

I'm probably not the first person on the list of people to defend Kurt Cobain. But I think that was in the guy's sig and not any sort of response to the thread or a question, so it has no real bearing on this thread other than being drummed up as a personal attack and borderline trolling. And it is a statement that is certainly no worse than some of the other sigs here...

And for all his problems, the biggest of which was being married to that blond skank, you guys still know his name...

When does your album come out?

And while you are at it, let us know when you are one of less than 10 people on planet Earth that actually write a single song that changes the entire musical landscape of the industry...

He was referring to my sig, I like it!

I probably shouldn't have responded in the first place, got the thread off topic

Totally agree... I am up to 322K miles on the cheapest stuff I can find (excluding non-API certified gas station oils) but then again my OCI's have been 3 to 4K. anythin more and I would be following recommendations based on used oil analysis

No.

Cobain was a VERY talented musician. As someone said, he changed the face of modern music.

He did have severe mental health issues that ultimately ended his life, and that he should have got help for, but a lot of people in that position don't - they don't want to be 'dulled' by proper medication.

That situation unfortunately cost the music industry a great talent. Even if you don't like Nirvana's music, many respected names in the industry have tipped their hats to Cobains abilities in that area.

Oh, what were talking about again? Oh yeah, oil changes and brands.....no, it doesn't matter.
