Honda's turbo engines?

Weird how history repeats itself. The 80s had turbo everything. Then everything went n/a. Then twin turbos were the rage. Then n/a. Now turbos again.

I always wondered how long these ultra high strung tiny turbocharged engines would last. The only turbocharged cars I've ever driven were turbocharged V6's.

My wife managed 13yrs/240k without serious issues in a 2005 Legact GT (civilized STI motor). The demise for her were all the leaking turbo oil lines and smoking.

Maintain, maintain, maintain and don’t romp on the throttle often, or when cold and you should see a good service life just like most modern engines.

I agree with this. You use the turbo to help get you up to speed and then just cruise and let the engine sip on gas.
