Thanks vinu. I did see that post. The Amsoil PDS is in the file. I haven't searched yet for a VOA on it but I will & see what's in it.

BTW, are you using the Amsoil in your Honda. More to the point,if so, anything to report?

Not yet. Our 05 TL is at 25k miles and I've been wanting to dump the factory filly Z1. Was deciding between Amsoil and M1, but the choice is now clear.

Amsoil seems to be a pretty popular ATF with Honda owners. Most report not much or a slight improvement in shift quality; which imo is good since Amsoil's ATF musn't be deviating too far from Z1's flow and friction characteristics while improving the durability significantly.

Since the TL partially closes the throttle on shifts, you will notice that the shifts are quicker and snappier but you won't actually "feel" much difference. I really prefer the way it shifts with Amsoil instead of the sloppy factory fluid shifts.

The shifts are a little sloppy from 3-4 with Z1. You're using ATD. Could that account for the firmer shifts?

Somewhat off-topic, but I replaced two quarts in my 15K mile '08 TL with Schaeffers' and it firmed up the shift considerably. I had planned to continue siphoning and replacing 2 quarts with Schaeffers at 5K intervals, but working toward full strength with that may give a stiffer shift than I want. I may try Amsoil ATF next time.

As GN mentioned, it does shorten the shift time.
