Looks like ATF. Why not just use their fancy ATF-z1?

Is this for the X-case or the rearend?

If its the transfer case fluid, I bet that it is heavily friction modified for ultra smooth AWD engagement/disengagement.

Now we need Honda VOA's of the ATF, the dual pump fluid, the PSF and.......

There are special clutches inside this system...so be careful about substituting.

The CRV takes Dual-Pump fluid, not VTM-4 IIRC.

And the SH-AWD system in the RL takes plain ATF-Z1.

This fluid is for the rear-end on the Pilot and Ridgeline. The VTM-4 system is like a part-time 4wd system that kicks in the rear-wheels if the front ones lose traction. Basically I will be putting ATF-Z1 in the tranny and VTM-4 fluid in the rear-end, Joe

Mike, no substitutions on the rear-end, but I am thinking about Mola's SF Z1 fluid for the tranny, Joe
