2009-2011 Honda Pilot

The Problem: Honda is voluntarily recalling the Pilot for problems with the front seatbelts. Seatbelts may become disconnected from the anchor webbing in a crash because the stitching that connects the lap section of the belt to the outboard anchor webbing may be incomplete or missing.

The Fix: Pilot owners with affected seatbelts will receive a written notification from Honda in October, and can take their vehicles in for a thorough inspection by an authorized dealer. Seatbelts that are replaced will be at no cost to the owner.

Number of Vehicles Potentially Affected: 310,733

You would think so, but in reality - No. Reason is seatbelts are installed "closed up" and the webbing is stitched pretty far down where it is not easily seen because it is inside the plastic housing.

Being open minded (and not a Honda fan), I cannot blame Honda because the same thing can happen to any automaker - they all rely on suppliers.

Just being fair.
