Honda P/S fluid. Magic?

I ran into a spec on a blender that make both Honda and non Honda Power Steering Fluid. The spec for Honda is thicker and has additional anti-wear additive in it (Ca, Zn, P, etc). I mentioned this finding in an earlier post a couple years back.

Molakule agreed with me at the time too.

Recently, a Honda came into our shop needing P/S work. We ordered NAPA's PSF which states that it is designed for Honda and Acura cars, but also states that it is fine in other power steering systems.

I'm wondering if Royal Purple's synthetic PSF does the job.

And if you think Honda cars darken PSF quickly, just look at some Ford cars.
