Honda MTF Xw-X

Does anyone know the viscosity of Honda's gear oil? Im curious because this is info thats just not available on the bottle and I've got transmission fluid change fever right now to do all three of my cars so Id like to get the del sol in the mix. If Hondas gear oil is nothing more than generic 75w90 gear oil I'll just skip it and buy something less expensive or synthetic. I picked up two quarts of Castrol Syntec gear oil 75w90 for my Toyota yesterday that looks very promising and Im very excited to get it in the gear box.

So if anyone could shed some light on this Honda MTF thing Id be very happy. My dealer wants $9 a quart which isnt too bad but it might just be generic dino gear oil for top dollar. If I was going that route SuperTech sells a gallon for $11.

If I had to guess it's probably somewhere around a 5w30.

Edit: Appears to be a 5w-20ish motor oil, which is much thinner than 75w-90 gear oil (which is approximately the same as 15w40 motor oil).

There are modern options for those transmissions.
Check in to Redline or Amsoil.
Forget standard rear end gear oil.

If I cant get it at either Walmart or Shucks down the street I dont want it. So Amsoil and Redline are out of the picture. I cant imagine running something like SuperTech gear oil that has API's GL-5 rating and running it with Pennzoil Ultra for a 7.5k 1 year OCI and something going wrong. A 7.5k MTF fluid interval is pretty over the top considering how often most people change it but its so easy and cheap its hard not to want to do it. For $11 I can do the transmission and differential every year! Or do it every other year with Honda's MTF because its not nearly as cheap.
