I have a 2015 Ford Focus, it seems like Honda MTF may be similar viscosity to Ford XT manual transmission fluid, do you guys think i would be OK using the Honda MTF fluid in the MTX75 transmission? Thanks
Does your Focus say to use DCT fluid or M2C200-D2?
Valvoline and Amalie make DCT fluid at a fair price. There's also a brand called Triax at a similar price, but Valvoline and Amalie are more widely-recognized names.
Liqui-Moly 20044 is actually a fair price on Rock Auto
MTX-75 manual 5 speed original spec was 75w90 GL4 fully synthetic. After 75w GL4. Both ZDDP based.
Other question is if gbox was modified for new oil or eco reasons only. Any other Ford gbox was changed from old to new oil without changing internals, so I'd suspect about it.
Honda MTF is 75w80 GL4 ZDDP too, should work, but not fully syn.

Difficult question. From theory yes, full syn should offer better shifting at extreme temps and less wear. In other hand Honda MTF is good fake syn with good result out there, I would use it, but on paper Ford fluids quality are closer to pro fluid brands than typical MTF.
