Why not strive for slightly better maintenance than what Honda recommends? Do you only change the oil filter if the oil looks especially nasty? Honda only recommends changing the oil filter on every other oil change, but I'm pretty sure almost no one follows that recommendation.
The filters and gaskets and o-rings needed to do the transmission service are relatively inexpensive, and they are relatively easy to change out. There's also a magnet inside of there that's good to wipe off.
Honda says the transmission filters never need to be changed, but my recommendation is to change them during the 3rd drain and fill, so that should be around 120,000 KM.
There is no need to replace the filter, and it's buried inside the transmission anyway
People who actually do replace it found it to be a waste of time, as transmisisons don't have combustion deposits and soot like engines do.
The other filter that's easily replaceable is just a mesh screen, and that doesn't do anything and isn't worth replacing, either. If there's a lot of stuff caught in the mesh screen, you have a lot more problems, and replacing the screen won't help at all.
Just change the CVT fluid regularly, and you will be fine. Honda's CVT is excellent.
