Here is a UOA of my Honda Civic 1.8 manual transmission. In this analysis, the fourth transmission filling since mileage 0 is in it, including the new car filling.

I assume the drained oil looked clear?

The metal shed by transmissions tends to be larger than a UOA can see, so not sure what to make of 60 ppm iron. Is there a magnet on the drainplug? if not, most iron that has shed is on an internal magnet.

You're certainly not entirely wrong about that. I have a magnetic drain plug, there were optically no particles worth seeing. I have already seen some uoa of manual transmissions with much higher element concentration, so I am quite satisfied that mine has failed like this. This analysis also reflects the good shifting of the transmission.
