Schumacher 800 amp @ menards for $29, usually in stock
Schumacher 1000 amp @ Menards for $24.99 after $10 rebate but order and pick up in store.
Made in China but at least it doesn’t scream made in China.

My issue was my shipping address was my PO Box. When I changed it then it was back in stock. Walmart…🤦‍♂️

Project Farm should test it I'm curious how it would do.
It says 29.6 Wh battery on Menards site for the 1000a
29.6 wh x 3.7v lithium ion cell is 8000mah

Hompow is 28000mah /3.7(lithium ion cell) is 103.6wh project farm tested it at 21254 mah and 78.64wh which is like 75% of advertised capacity.

If we say Schumacher is 75%(?) of advertised that's 6000mah and 22wh

Again I would love to see it tested but I'm guessing based of the advertised battery size it wouldn't do too great.

Also the screen on the Schumacher and round led light on top look very similar to the 6 year old DBPOWER DJS50 jump starter I've had forever
Which is also advertised as a 800a but 18000mah

my needs would be to jump a 2.5 4 banger but hope I’d never need it. There’s plenty of videos of the Schumacher doing just that. The Menards brand is essentially a rebadged shumacher setting right beside it for $80 so $29 is a steal. The 1000 amp for $25 is even better if you don’t mind waiting and filing the mail in rebate.

When the battery in my wife’s 2024 went from hero to zero in a week at Detroit metro, the AAA service/mobil battery store guy used one of these Schumachers to get us going. He also had a bigger jump box but it wasn’t needed. Our battery tested at zero volts so there wasn’t an ounce of help from the battery itself. I took a pic of the model number, got home and ordered one for each of my 3 cars. I haven’t had good luck with these Amazon off the wall companies. From headsets for work to cordless flossers. They don’t last and when you go to claim a warranty the company has changed names or no longer exists.

I'm not denying your experience but to say you haven't had good luck XX company but then can't actually name said company... Is not very helpful.
What brand and product did you have before that failed you?
And what exactly do you have now that you've used yourself and it worked well?

Every Schumacher product I've handled today just feels like they've sold out. Are they still actually quality or just another company making stuff in China and slapping their name on it?

I honestly don't know but I'm skeptical.
