I've been making these treats for a couple of years, the dogs love them. I roll the dough out on silicone baking sheets on a pan and cut it into 1/2 inch squares with a pizza cutter. If you make them you want the dough dry so you can roll it. 30 minutes @ 350 makes them just slightly soft for me, YMMV. For around $2.50 it makes just under 1.5 lbs of tasty treats. You can eat them too! Sometimes I sub some rolled oats for some of the flour as you can see. I keep a small container in the fridge and the rest in the freezer.

I grab a peanut butter milk bone once in a while and find it tasty so I bet your mix is better. No smart aleck remarks Zee09!

A lot of cross-talk here, but the idea and recipe here is quite good. I saw it last night and I shared it with my mom.

Note for history: Very probably the only time a 74 year old Kentucky mother read a post on BITOG, as well as liked it!

We will make some of these up soon. I also like the fact I can read between the recipe lines and see where I can seek in some more nutrition - not a fault of the recipe but my Dachshund will eat nothing that is not meat and she needs more to round out her diet. This looks like a great recipe and I look forward to trying it.

Thank you for posting it.

One of our first dogs had bad allergies and couldn't eat any store bought treats or he would break out all over his belly so we had a similar recipe. The only thing I remember is the organic peanut butter.
