Caravanmike: Don't let them question your sanity...I think your idea is ahead of its time!

I made this "Tree Top" one a month ago, but with like all things BITOG, I'm now full of self-doubt and worry. Maybe we could start a thread to discuss which apple jugs provide the best protection. I could cut a few open, measure the container thickness & number of twists on the opening, etc.

PS: Has Helen ever locked down an apple cider thread due to heated debate?

thanks for the support! i see we use the same brand of transmission fluid :).

I have used milk jugs in the past but they have been too flimsy. i have found juice or cider jugs are built alot tougher and seem to be alot thicker for garage use. mike
 
I did the same thing as I do a drain and fill on my auto transmissions every 2/3 oil changes. Lets me know how much to add. Excellant idea.
