That was also when the price of crude oil briefly went below zero dollars per barrel. You can't make any meaningful conclusion about markets using 2020 as the baseline.from March 2020
I don't trust any air I can't see.My first trip to San Bernardino from my home in the S.F. Bay Area, decades ago, only time I have ever seen purple air.

No disrespect to military who were stationed there but to voluntarily up and move to Cumberland County NC unless you were opening a tattoo parlor, video poker or used car lot is way down on my list of places. Without question its growth is tied to Ft. Bragg.Spent seven years there. Fayetteville continues to steadily grow in uniformed, civilian, and contractor workforce. All good paying jobs.
We didn't love Fayetteville, and looked at options to include commuting to RDU area and even Wilmington area. Issue with long commutes is it can take a long time to get through the gates to get to work, so a long commute and long gate wait makes a long commute even more painful.
It is funny you said that. My youngest Son serving in South Korea recently received orders to FT Bragg. He requested to extend in South Korea rather than a Permanant Change of Station (PCS) to FT Bragg later this spring. I equate him not wanting to PCS to FT Bragg to be from the "barracks lawyers" in Korea. Mostly based on erroneous or out of context information. No disrespect to military who were stationed there but to voluntarily up and move to Cumberland County NC unless you were opening a tattoo parlor, video poker or used car lot is way down on my list of places. I see plenty of houses between $800k - $1M in Corona. The houses you described in your post.

Strip Clubs near military bases are also good money makers.
Around here Zillow undervalues and homes sell for $100k higher. YMMV.Yes, Zillow has everything overpriced and sellers constantly reducing their asking price.
