Hey, I appreciate that people base their purchasing choices on a wide range of factors. Many are political and this forum isn't the place to have those discussions. But, for me it's price, and value for my dollar while also taking into consideration the quality of the good/service.
Often, my needs are adequately filled by a product made in China, Korea, Phllipines, etc., while saving me money.
If a product is comparable in price and quality and one is imported, the other made in USA, then definately, I'll buy USA. But, that scenario usually doesn't present itself very often.
A lot of people, including me, can't afford to pay what amounts to a surcharge on purchases just to fulfil a stance of always buy American. I've got a house to keep, mouths to feed, taxes to pay, cars to maintain, and oil to change, LOL!
The amount saved may seem small to some. But, a few bucks saved today, tomorrow... adds up to real savings over, say, a years time. It helps improve people's quality of life. Maybe able to take that vacation my Daughter's been begging to go on, LOL.
