High pitched squeal while turning

My 1999 Silverado has recently developed a high pitched squeal while turning left only (while driving only). It stops once the wheels are straightened out. Any idea as to what's going on?

First guess would be wheel bearing/hub assy. Had same thing happen in a 2000 Sierra that took forever to find where the noise was coming from.

Yup, sounds like a wheel bearing starting to go in the right side assembly.

if it's doing it while the vehicle is stopped i'd try spraying something at the belt and see if it stops or changes

That's because you're no longer putting a load on the power steering pump.

My guess is that you've got an accessory drive belt slipping on the power steering pump pulley when you steer left and putting a load on the pump. An increase in belt tension is usually the cure.

Wheel bearings have always made a 'growl' noise (not squeel) when they're going out as far as I recall.

PS pump or belt is my first guess.
Brakes are my second. With the slight cocking of the wheel assembly [from the slop in the bearings], the brake sensor may be touching when side loaded.
