Just ordered this High Performance jumper / starter from Amazon. They had an ad for these in the back of one of my automotive magazines. Finally did some looking into them and the reviews were very good. Purchased one to place in the wife's car trunk with other road/safety items I keep in there.

How much was it?
Project farm has a great video where he tests many brands, did you check it out?
The test is a bit older unless he did another one. I have I think 3 of the GooLoo GP4000 (about $100 each), one DB power and a GooLoo GP2000. They all have worked as needed. I just liked having the higher amp ones after his tests. I used for our cars a coupe times due to older battery or lights left on. Used many times to help others for same reason.

If lights left on an home, always best to fully recharge battery using a corded home AC powered charger

Yes, my C-TEK 7002 takes care of that. Mine and helping others have pretty much all been away from home. That's why each car has one (and old school jumpers cables if needed)

It is the first (only one) I have ever bought. They are for sale on Amazon for $95 if you have Amazon Prime which we do have and use. I bought a storage case for it as well for $18. Main thing was to have on in the car the wife uses and drive the grandkids around in.

Are these lithium batteries safe? I get nervous letting them bake in a car 130 degrees in the summer.

I'd say they are safe. We sell a ton of Lithium jump packs at work under the Schumacher brand. None have ever come back blown up that I know of. Noco's Boost series is also a really popular option, I think Autozone and Amazon primary sell those. Not sure about the other brands - but they probably all come out of the same handful of generic factories in China.

Each charger will have a storage temperature spec in the manual. Presumably the spec has a safety multiplier attached as well. I want to say my Gooloo is 140F, so leaving it in direct sun would be a bad idea.

From what I have read most LI batteries that do catch fire - do so while being charged. Charged too fast / overcharged and they reach a "runaway temperature" internally.

Here in a cold weather state, still have a Clore JnC 660 as AGM’s stand up to cold weather better.

My son has a Gooloo and if he has to use it, sticks it inside his jacket to warm it up.

I bought one of those Weegos a couple years ago. I've used it twice to start my mom's car. I top off the charge every six months, but it's rarely down one notch on charge when I do it. I think it's such a great thing to have that I bought three more for my GF and kids to keep in their cars. I got two last year for $55 each through an email promotion direct from Weego.

I normally charge mine on at least a 90 mile road trip so I’m watching it every minute …

Interesting. Why is it rated for 7L gas and only 3.5L diesel? Is that due to the high compression of a diesel engine? If so what do you need for a 7.3 powerstroke or shoot a 15 Liter Diesel semi engine?

I no longer have a lithium jump pack. Not that they are bad or anything but mine swelled up and quit working. I wasn't upset about it as I bought it at least 3 years before COVID. It lasted longer than the sealed lead acid jumper that I had before it.

I haven't bothered to replace it as I made my own jump pack out of some heavy duty jumper cables and a group 35 FLA battery I had left over from a rig that we sold for scrap.

I often buy and check out (safety/mechanical) type products like this one to keep in vehicles.

If I end up thinking a product like this is a good one, I end up purchasing others to give to my sons & daughter-in-laws to keep in their rides since they do lots of road travel with their kids.
