1 million miles and counting (odometer stoped at 999,999) on a 2001 Chevy with a Duramax and manual trans. Engine is claimed to be original, 2nd transmission, though on its 5th transfer case!

Obviously a typo or it's on its ~15th 5.4 3V

I've personally seen an '04 with 404k and the owner claimed the 3V was original, but even that is a unicorn if true.

A 2002 S class with Texas plates that traveled through several dozen countries with 380,000 miles.

Yeepers. I wonder how some of them could afford to drive that much? in other countries that is, what with their fuel prices.

Goes to show how long something can last--as long as one is willing keep repairing it, and to keep with it, despite what the Jones down the street just got.
