I spray on bedlinered the bottum and six-plus inces up the side so it will never rust, it has accent plasic panels body colored on the sides that hide it on the sides.

84 vw rabbit 1.6l idi-diesel
450k motor untouched. Orig clutch replaced at 390k.
Jetta struts and coils up front, pick-up model spring and shocks in back give the car a good three inches plus of lift over stock. It my little fwd suv. 58 to 63 mpg with no idle time except for turbo timer(but its not a turbo, i like to idle down 2.75minutes). Better at 65mph.
50-53mpg with moterate to me idle (if it will be restarted in twenty minutes, leave it run.
40mpg with the heck fuels cheap leave it run.

I put 270,000 on an 01 Grand Prix GTP. Did the transmission at 190,000, but it ran 13's so it had a bunch done to it.

1991 S-10 Blazer 280,000, Original transmission, never a valve cover off. Brakes, tires, one intake manifold gasket, 2 water pumps, 1 oil pressure sending unit and one injector.
TBI 4.3/700R4

Honorable mention.
1989 GMC 1 ton 180,000 miles 90 percent of that towing. Sold to a good friend, now has 240,000 on it. 454/Turbo 400
1 radiator, a set of exhaust manifold gaskets, 2 injectors at 150,000, and a few TBI gaskets.

Liz was driving a 2001 F-550 rollback when it was hit and totalled. It had just over 930,000 miles.

bought new in 2003
Still running fine as a DD/spare/beater.
1 mechanical repair so far (radiator replaced);
everything else still works, except the digital dash clock.


97 Ford Tbird - recently sold with 170k miles on it.
2 mechanical repairs (catalytic converter and some pulley)
Was running fine when sold.

Just turned 265k on our one owner '01 Civic.

Had trans replaced at 225k. That was the only time it had ever been to a shop in it's life.

2000 Ford Taurus, 275K when sold. Purchased new:
* Original Motor/Transmission (35K ATF changes take care of transmission problems on these cars BTW.)
* Replaced water pump @250K as a maintenance item when doing timing chain (also done as a maintenance item.)
* 2 batteries. Last at 6 months prior to selling.
* Replaced starter, A/C Compressor and Clutch (both with used), and Fuel Pump (wife made me get rid of it at that point.)
* Replaced most suspension pieces once.
* Four sets of tires.

Kept longer than any car that I ever owned. Was probably one of my top 5 favorite cars. Sold to a co-worker and rode in it the other day. Now has 281K and still runs strong.

so your civic is in reality no more dependable than my S-10. Interesting

God, I love Maxima's!

210,000 miles (338,000Km) on my old Town Car that I gave away. Drivetrain is all original except for the heads/cam/intake I upgraded. It easily has another 200,000 miles left in it.
